Closure of constraints
One-liner: Interlocking processes and/or constraints that co-maintain each other so a coherent dynamic is self-sustaining.
In Juarrero’s usage
CCE stacks related closures: catalytic, autocatalytic, constraint, statistical, semantic. Beginners can treat “closure” as self-maintaining loops. Important for autonomy and for reframing determinism beyond Laplacean particle chains.
Not to confuse with
- Logical “closed system” only
- Social exclusivity (“closed club”) alone
Everyday example
A mutual credit network where participation regenerates the conditions of further participation.
