Context-dependent constraint
One-liner: A constraint that couples parts so probabilities are conditional on neighbors, place, and history.
In Juarrero’s usage
Also context-sensitive. Mechanisms: catalysts, feedback, entrainment, recursive interdependencies. These constraints are historical — complex systems carry their past. Foundation of “context changes everything.”
Not to confuse with
- Subjective interpretation alone
- Mere environmental scenery with no coupling role
Everyday example
In conversation, your next sentence depends on theirs, the room, and shared history — not only on a fixed personal “letter frequency.”
